LCI Barcelona Experience Design Workshop
Facilitated a workshop at their Fashion Design Symposium, utilizing Experience Design as a tool for enabling sustainability across the entire fashion industry value chain.
LCI Barcelona
LCI Barcelona, part of the international LCI Education organization, is a School of Design and Visual Arts. In particular, their fashion department is quite reputable, which is the department I collaborated with directly for this workshop.
What They Needed
-
LCI Barcelona was hosting a fashion industry event, called the Fashion Design Symposium. This design school reached out to request a workshop for the event, which would be focused on sustainability in the fashion industry.
-
The event was missing a hands-on component, so this provided the opportunity to develop and facilitate a fashion industry focused workshop. It was delivered to an audience that work or study within the fashion industry.
How We Collaborated
-
As a part of the event program, I would facilitate a workshop entitled “Experience Design for the Fashion Industry”, which utilized Service Design and Design Thinking across the fashion industry value chain.
-
I brief presentation was provided, and then I facilitated a workshop based on a unique canvas and methodology I developed for this occasion. We went through the canvas together, and conveyed how it can be applied to various aspects across the entire fashion industry.
The Results
-
The workshop was well received, with interest and enthusiasm from the audience. There was particular appreciation for the practical application of the canvas, with helps to make actionable change towards a more sustainable fashion industry.
-
The event was a success, with a full audience and satisfied participants and collaboration partners. The presentation of the Experience Design Canvas provided the audience with a tool they could use in their own career to apply sustainability practices across the fashion industry value chain.
