Innovation Forum Human-Centered Design Workshop

Co-facilitated a human centered design workshop for a cohort of healthcare startups as part of the Barcelona branch Imagine IF! Accelerator program.

Innovation Forum

Innovation Forum is an accelerator for healthcare ventures, headquartered in Cambridge, UK, and branches across Europe, Asia and the US. I collaborated with the Barcelona brand, during the Imagine IF! program.

What They Needed

  • As part of the Barcelona branch of Innovation Forum, I was closely involved with the Imagine IF! program and interfacing with the startup participants. During the program, there was a need to run a human-centered design workshop, alongside another mentor.

  • I co-facilitated a human-centered design workshop, on site in Barcelona, with the participating healthtech startups in the program. Most of the entrepreneurs came from technical backgrounds, so this was new territory for them.

How We Collaborated

  • We developed a canvas and facilitated the workshop through a hands-on approach, helping the startups understand human-centered design and apply it to their ventures.

  • In collaboration with my co-facilitator, I contributed to the development of the canvases and delivered the workshop to the startups in during the program.

The Results

  • The startups received the information well, and were able to grasp the concepts to a level that they could apply them directly to their businesses.

  • They workshop was well received, and the startups benefitted from being able to apply human-centered design to their products and services, ultimately improving their offerings.
